I bet they update the BGP protocol before IPv6 is rolled out... cause BGP will need to support it...
Just my guess.
bgp already 'supports' ipv6. and ipv6 is nowhere near close to adoption, in north america anyway.

I think it will be sooner than you think.
I've seen providers giving away /24s with single dedicated servers....
You wont see that in europe - RIPE seems to be doing its job better than ARIN.
