Default 50 hits a day and 10 dollars per day average

    is that doing pretty good?

must admit I am a little surprised of the revenue based on the low traffic i get

does this mean that if i multiply my traffic by a factor of 10 that I can also multiply my revenue by about 10 too ?

so 500 hits a day equals 100 dollars a day?

    tc

Try talking in terms of visitors, clickthrus etc.

Hits implies 50 requests of your server (for example: if your page has 4 graphics on it thats 5 hits) which would imply ten pages are viewed, which could be just one visitor)..

That's not too bad tho - even if you mean clicks or visitors.

    Cheers,

I think he means he gets 50 visitors a day.
He says he has low traffic, and he mentions multiplying his traffic by 10.

I smell something fishy, because that would mean a quarter or more of his traffic is clicking on links.

I'm lucky if I get 1 or two ad clicks, and my traffic is slowly increasing.

Exactly, I can't follow a discussion when people start talking about hits... 99% of the time they are confused and just don't know what they are talking about so you have to guess if they mean total visitors, unique visitors, impresisons...

i apologize for the confusion, i meant 50 unique visitors per day...

and earning about 10 dollars per day based on 50 unique visitors per day

I smell something fishy, because that would mean a quarter or more of his traffic is clicking on links.

actually i am not doing anything fishy... i have never clicked on my own ads or anything like that..

maybe it is because my visitors spend on average about 3 minutes on my site per visit?

not sure why they are so click happy.

I'm getting about 50 unique visitors a day with 3 min. average time and I'm more in the neighbourhood of $1 a day.

What's your secret? Better yet, what's your URL?

well actually it is not always 10 bucks per day it flucutates quite a bit..

my site so far has about 30 pages or so.

i am going to bust my ass and see if I can try to grow traffic to 500 per day.. i guess then i will know if that also multiplies the revenue by 10 too.. i doubt it, but who knows..

i will report back here when and if i am able to do it.

One of my sites got 8%ctr and $17ecpm...

    I only get 30-60 uniques a day..
its a 2 months old site..

will I start to be worried......?
There is no reason to be worried about your ctr or ecpm unless its click fraud. So many people on DP seem to think a high ctr will get you banned i have no idea why.

Haha, I'm getting around 300 unique visitors a day, (approx. 3600 since Jan 29), and I've made a whopping $0.41!!! Of course, I am using AdBrite ads, so that's the main problem. They aren't contextual, so they suck really bad, and it's a warez site (music), so I can't use AdSense on it

Do you think that I could get AdSense for my legit site, and then take the AdSense code and place it on my regular site? Would Google find out?
