Default How Can YOU Protect From Click Fraud?

Hello...I am the new latino guy here I guess.

I have a very important edifying point here. Probably you should know it too. This will probably be my happy welcome to the forum.

I think I have a solution for not getting banned from adsense even if people do daily click-fraud on you and google probably knowing it.

What do you think it will prevent YOU, from getting banned from google?

This is a very important welcome question for me and for us I believe. Your assistance if having a little knowledge in it, will be appreciated.

    Thank You.

Don't show AdSense to they same user more than N times. Make it clicksor, yahoo, amazon, cj, whatever ads after a couple impressions from the same punter.

p.s- I believe there is no way to be innocent when you have click-fraud...google will just don't care...even if you are enrolled as an indivuidual who barely makes few dollars in adwords or in adsense. You get adsense click-fraud...you are out in few days? In a nutshell that is!

I can tell you for a fact that Google does care. You can be suspended for click fraud, even if it isn't your fault (regardless of account size) but you will not be banned. There is a human review after the suspension and if it is found that you were not the one responsible, you will be reinstated minus the funds gained through the fraud.

Most people just move on when they get the suspension. It is up to the publisher in many cases to email a response back to the suspension notice.

Default How Can YOU Protect From Click Fraud?

I think a lot of people reading this thread will wonder why you are so worried before you have even signed up for the AdSense program?

I believe access to your logs is a must. If your hosting company does not make these available, I would switch right away.

I personally don't think any other software is neccesary if it is just for detecting fraud. I think there are a lot of other ways to insulate yourself.

    the first is:
Don't tell anyone about your AdSense sites. Sometimes your family and friends think they are "helping you out" by clicking on your ads. They do this to help not understanding its fraud and it can result in a ban that sticks.

Another is if you think something may or may not violate the TOS, email Google. Don't trust people in forums opinions, ask the source. You can then save that email so if there is ever trouble down the road, it can be used to show you were advised its ok

There are a lot more tips though.

Of course I feel obliged to add:
Dont click on your own Ads for ANY reason!

Don't tell your mom, great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather, brother, best friend, pet dog, plant, Duck-Billed Platypus, Venus Flytrap, pet rock... about your web sites!! Heck, don't even tell yourself!

my investment in 800-1,200 page sites will be huge promotion and the risk is a little high.

You should have other alternative ready to go at the touch of a button should your account be suspended. The human review process can take as little as 2 days to 8 weeks. If you put all your eggs in one basket, you are leaving yourself a bit open.

The time frame I specified seems to rely on the size you are. It is of course specualtion but I have done a lot of research on this in the last few months. Publishers so far in the mid 5 figures / month have been reinstated in a day or two. Those in mid 4 figures / month in around 7-10 days and I have seen few cases where publishers in the very low 3 figures taking up to 8 weeks.

As far as your original post about webmasters publicly claiming their innocence and not getting back in, in my experience those that truly just caught the filter but did nothing wrong, don't post about it...They contact Google and get it taken care of.

95% of the posts I have seen here where they proclaim innocence in the first post admit around page 3 that they *may* have clicked on their own ads.

That is very interesting edifying answer. By the way you write, I'm willing to bet my 'dog'(probably I hate that darn 'Akita' ) that you are making a living out of adsense...LOL It must be darn good even if it's another paycheck.

Will do my best to follow-up on your re-search...my nich are for newbie look around prospects. That's why I would have soon a huge adsense site.

In fact, I'm battleing with RSS feeds right now ...you will watching you. You and your friends are goodies when it comes to Adsense...

Thanks for all your support. A quick "Hi" from a Latino Work-Aholic!

Well, I will PM you my address so you can send me your dog...lol I don't make my living from Adsense although I do Ok. There are 3 people I know of on this forum that post regularly and are in the top group I mentioned. There are a LOT of people in the middle group and of course we all started in the bottom one

My examples there were more to give an idea on the system as a whole.
