Should I notify google if I'm no longer running adsense on the original website that I signed up for the service with? I still use the account to run adsense on 5 other sites.

You could if it makes you feel better, but I don't think it's necessary. You don't need to notify them when you ad AdSense to a new site, so I don't think you need to notify them when you stop running it on a certain site. Plus, they obviously know what pages you run it on since they serve relevant ads for it.

You should search the forum for the 6,000 other duplicate threads to this one, and find your answer there.

Or let google figure it out themselves. If you take the ads off, they won't be crawling it anymore, so they'll assume you don't use it for AS.

Exaro... i did search... and as DP said, I know that you don't have to contact them to add, but I wasn't sure about the other way around when it's the account you signed up with... I was just wondering if anyone else had some experience with this... cause you can never be too safe in this Google Adsense game.

By the sounds of it you want to feel safe, therefore just drop them an email.

If you sell the site you applied for AdSense with, and the new owner applies for AdSense with that site, they will ask you to sign up for a new account or submit a new site for approval - and they will look into it because two AdSense accounts are trying to lay claim to the same site. If you still have ownership of the site, don't worry about it.

cgo85 - you're welcome to place the AdSense ad code on any of your sites. You don't have to notify AdSense when you've added the code to a new page, either. Our crawlers will automatically detect the new code and begin serving ads relevant to the specific page.
