Default Rectangle Ad Behavior - 300x250 Is Weird

    The 336x280 - made for 4 ads, I always get 4 ads.

The 300x250 - made for 4 ads, I get 2 ADS 90% of the time.

    The 250x250 - made for 3 ads, I always get 3 ads.

    Soooo, what's with the 300x250?
Are you getting mostly 2 ADS using this format?
Testing now, CTR data in 2 days.
Looks hokey, I don't have a lot of faith in this experimental, chopped-up format.
    We'll see.

AFIK except the 250 X 250 format, the others tend to change the no. of ads.

336x280 definitely does change... and I believe no one has observed 250x250 changing.

The 250 stays pretty regularly at just 3 ads. The bigger boxes tend to change to 2 ads or 1 in some cases.

So how was this change? Did majority of people see increased revenue as a result of this?

Many complaints as this leads to low revenue overall - especially for those who put those 4 pcitures .
Since G says it removes those low performing ads and give more room for well performing one, logically it should result in more revenue - but in practise it was otherwise.
As anything else this also may change soon.

    Wow, 336 too!
    I've never noticed.
    I'll be watching now!

I've noticed an increase in revenue since they started doing this... actually my traffic has decreased, but my revenue stayed pretty much the same, but this also coincided with a site redesign with better adsense placement. My traffic has dropped by about 66% - mainly due I think to my lack of site content updates for a few weeks while I focused on design.

I'm excited to see if it sticks once my traffic levels boost back up.

I have been using the 360x280 forever (always shows 4 ads).
I tried the 250x250 on 10 various pages (always shows 3 ads), and CTR dropped.
I am now trying the 300x250 (shows only two ads), and the CTR is dropping further.

I'm about ready to return to all 360x280 ads, in 48 hours time.
In my case, the old adage applies - "Don't try to fix it, if it ain't broke!"
But, hey, I gave it a shot.

I saw 336x280 start shifting on me last night. Up until then I hadn't seen it. The single ad format kind of blows the look of my integration since it's not centered.
