I told my wife about the place and she looked at me like I had two heads. Looks like I will be sneaking away to make a visit by myself while we are there.

The problem is time. Looking at those pictures, I could easily stay there from open til closing time.

We'll be there M-F. Do you have your DVD Talk shirt so we can nod to each other as we pass on the strip?

I'd love to go, but our time is also very limited that I doubt we'd make it out there. I will keep it in mind, though.

I'll be the drunk asshole screaming at the live statues at Caesar's Palace.

Where are you staying? We are at the Palazzo for our short time there.

4500 square feet is dedicated to the Pinball Hall of Fame, where the entire family can enjoy non-violent pinball arcade games for small dinero.

Fuck that, I want to play the machines that accost you and steal your wallet when you lose a ball!

Excalibur. Don't judge, it's for our daughter's 5th birthday (long story) and she's a princess.

I live here and have never heard of it. And I read the newspaper weekly. Guess it's not promoted much.

Excalibur's cool. Be sure and do the "Medieval Times" show. I saw it about 11 years ago and it was a lot of cheesy fun.

The wife and I are celebrating our 13th anniversary...so where else to go than Vegas, baby!

I'll be at Excalibur March 30th though June 2nd. We are taking our three boys and both of their grandmothers as well. This museum is just down the street from the hotel. We haven't decided if we're getting a car yet or not. That would be a long walk from the hotel. Is it just pinball machines or do they have arcade cabinets as well?

Yeah, the website says it is about 3 miles down from the MGM Grand. I will likely just take a quick cab ride there. And I think it is pretty much pinball only from what I am seeing on the website...which is totally fine with me.

They have quite a few arcade games there. Probably 30-50, mostly classic games.

    Yes they did.

I was there yesterday and got to spend 3 hours there before my plane left. My wife wasn't so happy since she had to attend since we were going to airport straight from there but fuck her, she lived.

If I had had the chance, I would have started on one row and played every machine there but I just ran out of time. I kept winning a lot of free games and that took up some extra time. I gave most of my free games to other people there or made my wife suck it up and play a little.

All of the games were in mostly tip top shape and were reasonably priced. No putting in $2.00 a game unless you wanted several games at a discount which was really nice. I got to play some pinball games that I honestly had not seen or played since I was a kid. It felt like the early 80's with the old sounds of the arcade rumbling throughout the room. Holy flashbacks, Batman!

I don't get to Vegas often but if I get to go back in the future, I am going to devote an entire day there.

    Highly recommended!

edited to add: Going there really makes me wish there were more classic pinball ports on the current systems like the two Williams Collections. There are so many awesome pinball tables that could be ported. I wonder if it is a big pain in the ass to do so?
